About the Sourcely crawler

Sourcely+ AI Product Importer is a Shopify app that helps merchants stock their store from suppliers they work with and stores they own. A merchant records how they're authorised to sell a source's products before Sourcely fetches anything from it; when they then give it a link, it fetches that page once and reads the product details from it.

How to block it

Add this to your robots.txt and Sourcely will stop fetching your pages:

User-agent: Sourcely

A rule written for * is honoured too. A block written specifically for Sourcely takes precedence over the wildcard.

Content and copyright

Before importing from a source, a merchant must record how they are authorised to sell its products — their own store or brand, a supplier or wholesale agreement, an official licence, or written permission from the rights holder. Nothing is fetched from a source that has not been declared, and the declaration is stored against their store. Sourcely is not intended for, and asks merchants not to use it for, copying another retailer's listings.
